For over forty years, Tricana Imports has been an active presence in the New York wine world, and throughout the national market. In that time, we have built our reputation on one philosophy: maintaining close, collaborative relationships with both our wineries and our clients. And with a focus on family-owned wineries, and on grower-owned co-ops, we have always been devoted to winemakers true to their land and passion.
Our Story
Sam Levitas started Tricana Imports in 1978, with a focus on family-owned Italian wineries. Since then, Tricana’s portfolio has expanded to represent a wide range of the world’s wine regions. Now under the leadership of company president Garry Tornberg, Tricana continues to offer excellent wines that uniquely represent their terroir and their producers’ talents.

While interest in organic and sustainable wine production may be a more recent, global development, Tricana Imports has always sought out producers who care deeply for their land and its environmental quality. These techniques preserve the vineyards that our winemakers adore - and hope to keep for generations - and ensure the excellent quality and consistency of the wines in our portfolio.
